Doctors and nurses who work for Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) recently welcomed Walter Payton High School students to its Illinois health plan headquarters in Chicago as part of a program to inform and inspire the next generation of health care leaders.
The event exposed students to various health care career paths and taught them lifesaving skills such as CPR.
“We want to do what we can to help inspire young people and share our journeys with them so that they can see themselves going into those professions in the future,” says Dr. Derek Robinson, vice president and chief medical officer of HCSC’s Illinois plan.
