Healthy Kids, Healthy Families® (HKHF) is part of HCSC’s ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of the children and families across the states in which we operate. Throughout 2015, more than 3.2 million children were impacted as a result of our investments in nonprofit organizations that offer sustainable, measurable programs in the following areas:

We welcome the opportunity to partner with nonprofit organizations that share our goals, and we invite you to view our grants page to learn more about how we can collaborate and to read about the programs supported through this effort. You are welcome to contact us or visit our Social Responsibility Report to view our most recent updates and activities through this initiative. We look forward to hearing from you.

Examples of major partners in each of our focus areas include:

American Lung Association

Through our partnership with the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest, we work directly with health centers to improve the quality of care for children with asthma, by engaging providers, community leaders and educators, resulting in improved long-term care outcomes.

We partner with KaBOOM! to build safe community playgrounds and spread the word about the importance of play to increase children's physical activity and promote healthy lifestyles.

Mobile Health Vans

Our Care Vans® travel throughout our states to increase access to care for the children and adults in underserved communities.

Food Banks

We partner with 21 local food banks and other key organizations in our communities to eliminate food insecurity and remove barriers to adequate nutrition.
