Former Division Senior Vice President Appointed President, Effective Immediately.
Richardson, TX, (Feb. 4, 2008) — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) has announced that Darren Rodgers will take over responsibility as president of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. Rodgers has been with BCBSTX since 1992, most recently having served as the divisional senior vice president of Texas Health Care Management and Public Affairs. Rodgers succeeds Martin G. As president of BCBSTX, Rodgers will oversee all Texas operations, including marketing and sales, health care management and medical policy. Rodgers’ career prior to joining BCBSTX includes positions with other national insurers in the areas of national accounts and employee benefits.
