HCSC Among America’s Most Innovative Companies 2024

CHICAGO — Health Care Service Corporation has been recognized by Fortune and Statista as one of America’s Most Innovative Companies 2024. The recognition honors the top 200 U.S. companies based on a holistic view of a company's innovative activity.

This is the second consecutive year HCSC has been named to the Most Innovative Companies list by Fortune. 

“HCSC’s focus remains constant in developing innovative solutions that help improve the health of our members and drive down medical costs,” said Arun Prasad, HCSC executive vice president, chief strategy officer and president of diversified businesses. “We very much appreciate this ongoing external recognition of how we are using innovation in ways that align with our commitment to empowering whole person health.”

Fortune and Statista selected America’s Most Innovative Companies 2024 based on product innovation, process innovation and innovation culture. For the evaluation of the innovation culture and the internal view of process innovation, Statista deployed online surveys where employees could score their company on a scale system. For the evaluation of the external view of process innovation as well as product innovation, Statista surveyed experts in various fields — from recruiters to management consultants and patent attorneys. For the evaluation of the IP portfolio, Statista cooperated with LexisNexis PatentSight and used its platform to analyze the quantity and value of a company’s patents.
